      Our Facilitators

Craig Schaub is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ who also is trained as a spiritual director, leader of silent retreats, and contemplative groups.  He is  trained as a facilitator of small circles of trust with the Center for Renewal and Wholeness and in rituals and practices of The Work that Reconnects.  He is currently in training as a Forest Therapy Guide. 

He has a certificate in Permaculture Design, enjoys time learning about native plants, and spending time in the woods and fields of the North Carolina Piedmont. 

Andrea Mitchell is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ serving as the BCC Outpatient Chaplain at the Novant Health Cancer Institute in Winston-Salem and is a trained spiritual director.  She co-facilitates Soul of Aging retreats and our regular Listening Sessions for spiritual awareness and is a member of the Acorn Center Advisory Team.  She also lead workshops on Soul Collaging. 

Andrea was recently recognized by Cancer Services for her tireless efforts to offer compassion to patients and families in our community. 

Karen Richardson Dunn is a wellbeing counselor certified through Duke Integrative Medicine, and a meditation teacher certified through Duke University's MIEA program.  Most recently, she has served in both roles for faculty, students, and staff of Wake Forest University, through the Office of Wellbeing. Karen, an ardent tree-hugger, is also an ordained minister through the United Church of Christ, for which she has worked as an environmental activist and hospice chaplain. From her love of Creation, she's also served Wake Forest's Food, Health and Ecological Wellbeing Program as a coordinator/consultant. In addition, Karen is a book editor of many years, and a writer/journalist.
