Acorn Center for Wholeness

Reawakening our kinship self

Acorn Center  is a place for small group work, retreats, rituals of gratitude and grief, and earth-centered connection.

We seek to create trustworthy community so each of us can hear our own interior wisdom and let that wisdom guide us beyond numbness, confusion, overwhelm to rediscover what is ours to contribute.

Council of All Beings

About Acorn Center

Mission:  Each one of us has, to survive in the world and become productive adults, turned off some of our authentic inner voice. It has sometimes meant separating from the earth, losing touch with our bodies, ignoring dreams, stifling deep yearnings.  The vision of Acorn Center for Wholeness is to foster a trustworthy community dedicated to making room for participants to hear their own interior voice and let that voice guide them in response to the confusion, numbness, overwhelm, and anxiety we can feel in the world today.

One approach is time with one other person trained in spiritual direction to listen together for the sacred presence to inform the questions of living.

Another approach is to gather in a small group dedicated to each one listening to their own self without advising or seeking to fix one another.

Another approach is to encounter the deep wisdom of silent retreats or silent circles, with some hints and encouragement of how to approach silence.

Another approach is to engage in rituals and practices of the world-wide movement of the Work that Reconnects to find full expression of our gratitude, grief, and desire to experience new and ancient wisdom.

Still another is to engage simple practices of wandering, sitting outside, creating art to re-establish our embodied bond with the natural world.
